PHYSICAL FITNESS AND BRAIN STRUCTURE

Physical fitness is not only good for your health but also for your brain too. Studies show that the more you exercise your body to move active your brain becomes. This is more important especially for younger children. Physical fitness helps improving their memory. The more they are involved in physical fitness the more active they are in class. 


There is a huge difference between the children who are physically active and those who are not their performance in class tells it all. Those who are physically active performs better than the ones who are not because fitness is associated with more fibrous and compact white matter, a type of nerve tissue connected to learning and brain function. Physical fitness also makes the children more attentive and improves their self-confidence. 


It is important for parents and teachers to allow their children to play because play makes a child healthy and active. Without play, a child becomes inactive and develops low self-esteem. The future of a child depends on their present. If a child has a dull present, his or her future is likely to be dull. 


Therefore, for a bright future physical fitness on our children is very important. Studies shows that children born from a poor environment have slower brain development structure compare to those born from a rich environment.  Children from well of families do better on a number of cognitive measures including IQ scores , reading and language batteries  also key brain areas in these children such as those involved in memory or language tend to be larger in volume and more developed.
